Leading the Lawsuit Reform Fight Since 1986!
Since 1986, the Texas Civil Justice League has led the fight to restore fairness and stability to the state's civil justice system.
Among the nation's first and most effective legal reform coalitions, the Texas Civil Justice League members include individuals, railroads, health care providers, defense law firms, professional and trade associations, cities, counties, chambers of commerce, school districts, and businesses of all sizes.
The Texas Civil Justice League has pursued a broad civil justice reform agenda, passing legislation to restrict forum shopping (forum non conveniens), limit punitive damages and joint and several liability, deter frivolous lawsuits, change DTPA statutes, and establish statutory standards for product liability cases.
The Texas Civil Justice League's success has demonstrated one thing: legal reform is one of the most pressing economic issues business owners and consumers face throughout Texas. The League and its members defend the buffer built between business and the next junk lawsuit.
The Texas Civil Justice League depends upon an active and growing membership to keep winning the fight for reform. We need your help.
