HB 586 by Rep. Paul Workman (R-Austin) has been posted for hearing tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. in Senate State Affairs. The bill was originally scheduled for hearing today, but was pulled from the agenda. HB 586 contains a limited waiver of the state’s sovereign immunity in breach of contract claims arising from certain construction contracts. The bill’s Senate sponsor is Sen. Bob Deuell (R-Greenville).
