Rep. Paul Workman
Rep. Paul Workman (R-Austin) just refused to concur in Senate amendments to HB 586, which waives the state’s sovereign immunity in certain construction contracts. The bill was amended on the Senate floor to include SB 522 by Sen. Craig Estes, which makes significant changes to the contested case procedures in the Administrative Procedures Act. The House conferees are Rep. Workman, Rep. Jessica Farrar (D-Houston), Rep. Bill Callegari (R-Katy), Rep. Jeff Leach (R-Plano), and Rep. Jose Menendez (D-San Antonio).
