Tommy Townsend
Tommy Townsend, long time executive director of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, died at 10:20 this morning. Prior to joining TTLA, Townsend served in the same capacity with the Texas Association of Realtors. It has been a great privilege to work with Tommy through the years. Although TCJL and TTLA have battled it out on policy issues for more than two decades, we deeply admire and respect Tommy’s integrity, professionalism, and dedication to the legislative process. Legislatures come and go, but friendships remain constant. Tommy will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Our sincerest condolences and prayers go out to Tommy’s family and to our friends at the TTLA.
