The court-appointed claims administrator charged with overseeing payouts under the $9.2 billion Deepwater Horizon oil spill settlement urged the Fifth Circuit on Thursday to reject BP PLC’s latest bid to remove him, saying the oil giant is simply trying to derail the deal in a fit of buyer’s remorse.
