Legislation imposing criminal and civil penalties on the unauthorized capture and use of an image taken by an unmanned aircraft will be debated on the House floor today. HB 912 by Rep. Lance Gooden (R-Terrell) creates potential liability for business entities that make use of unmanned aircraft technology to inspect and maintain rights-of-way, structures, and machinery that are remote and difficult to access by a manned vehicle.
