• thwarted efforts to rollback business liability and legal reform during the 2007 legislative session by defeating sweeping anti-indemnity and qui tam (false claims) bills, and proposals that threatened consolidated insurance programs.
• is already laying the groundwork for the 2009 legislative session. Issue work groups will make recommendations in vital public policy areas, such as courts, general business liability, indemnity/OCIP/construction contracts, mass torts, insurance, and products liability. In addition, the League’s grassroots and political outreach efforts will infl uence legislative and judicial races across the state by keeping business issues in the forefront of upcoming campaigns.
