This afternoon the House Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence Committee unanimously approved two TCJL-supported bills. HB 1325 by Rep. Doug Miller (R-New Braunfels), Rep. Travis Clardy (R-Nacogdoches), and Rep. Tryon Lewis (R-Odessa) establishes a process for the dismissal of inactive claims on the asbestos and silica multi-district litigation dockets. HB 2748 by Rep. Tryon Lewis strengthens the administrative process at the Texas Railroad Commission for certifying common carrier pipelines.
