Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Jesus “Jesse” Nevarez Jr. of Keller as judge of the 231st Judicial District Court in Tarrant County for a term to expire at the next general election.
Nevarez is an attorney in private practice. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and State Bar of Texas Family, Juvenile, Real Estate, Probate and Trust law sections. He is also a member of the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association and Parker County Bar Association, and a past member of the Mexican American Bar Association. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Nevarez received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Dallas and a law degree from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.
