The Texas Supreme Court has extended its emergency order suspending most in-person proceedings until September 30. The order will continue to allow all Texas courts to modify or suspend deadlines and procedures, whether required by statute, rule, or order, through that date, except in certain family law proceedings. The order also directs courts not to hold in-person jury trials excerpt in very limited circumstances, as previously authorized by Emergency Order 18. A copy of the order may be read below.
