At yesterday’s lengthy hearing before the House State Affairs Committee, several allied business and health care groups testified in opposition to HB 155. These groups include Texans for Lawsuit Reform, Texas Association of Manufacturers, Texas Hospital Association, Texas Health Care Association, National Federation of Independent Business, and Texas Association of Business. TCJL submitted written testimony, as we reported yesterday. Wroe Jackson, Vice President and General Counsel of TAM (a TCJL board member), offered the testimony appended below. The bill was left pending. The current special session ends on October 19.
